Timber Prep
Aqualis Timber Prep is an environmentally friendly cleaner used on weather beaten and aged wood surfaces. It has been designed to effectively restore grey timber to its natural look.
Unlike bleach based cleaners, its unique formulation does not destroy natural timber fibres. Timber Prep removes ground in dirt and contaminants reviving aged weathered timber to its natural state ready for a fresh coat of Aqualis Timber
Cover all areas which require protection with plastic sheeting and thoroughly wet all plants and shrubs in the designated cleaning vicinity. Take caution when walking on wet surfaces especially steps and stairs as they will become slippery.
Do not use on Aluminium, ensure all aluminium windows and doorways/frames are covered with plastic sheeting to prevent discolouration or etching. Thoroughly wash or wipe effected areas with plenty of water.
Ensure all safety Instructions are followed as per Safety Datasheet, wear safety goggles, gloves, and protective clothing.
Thoroughly wet the substrate surface with clean water. Apply Timber Prep with suitable applicator liberally over substrate and scrub with a stiff synthetic/nylon brush and allow standing for 10- 20 min. Again, scrub the surface with a hard bristle brush whilst rinsing with garden hose or gerni water jet. If required repeat above procedure.
Wood - Allow to dry for 24 hours prior to application of Aqualis H2Oil water based exterior timber finish.
Masonry - Allow drying for at least 24 hours or until the moisture content satisfies the finish topcoat’s painting requirements.
Rust Stains
Thoroughly wet the substrate surface with clean water. Apply Timber Prep with suitable applicator liberally over substrate and scrub with a stiff synthetic/nylon brush working in to the rust stain and allow to sit for 10min. Again, scrub the surface with a hard bristle brush whilst rinsing with high pressure hose or gerni water jet.
Nail Stains
Thoroughly wet the substrate surface with clean water. Apply Timber Prep with suitable applicator liberally over the nail stain and scrub with a stiff synthetic/nylon brush. Once the stain has disappeared, scrub the surface with a hard bristle brush whilst rinsing with high pressure hose or gerni water jet.
Composite
Thoroughly wet the composite surface with clean water. Apply Timber Prep with suitable applicator liberally over substrate and scrub with a stiff synthetic/nylon brush and allow standing for 10min. Again, scrub the surface with a hard bristle brush whilst rinsing with high pressure hose or gerni water jet.
Timber Prep may dull painted surfaces or metal fixtures if left on for long periods of time. Quickly rinse or wipe off with a wet cloth as required.
All new and weathered exterior timber, including; decking, timber walkways, outdoor furniture, pergolas, steps, rails, fences, gates and other exterior timber.

Allow up to 24 hours to dry depending on the surface temperature before applying Aqualis H2Oil Timber
